Verleden | Heden | Toekomst (VHT) is een sprankelende balletvoorstelling die dans, kunst en inclusiviteit samenbrengt in drie unieke acts. Deze multidisciplinaire productie, gepresenteerd door het Ukrainian International Ballet in samenwerking met de United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation, draait om creativiteit, veerkracht en de verbindende kracht van kunst.
In de eerste act, "Verleden", nemen choreograaf V. Detiuchenko en dansers D. Borodai en D. Tkachenko je mee in een visuele dialoog tussen de Oekraïense en Nederlandse kunstgeschiedenis. Geïnspireerd door het werk van Piet Mondriaan en Alexandra Exter, smelten strakke lijnen en expressieve bewegingen samen tot een krachtig eerbetoon aan gedeelde culturele wortels.
"Heden", de tweede act, is een creatie van Marne van Opstal. Hier brengen Toon Lobach en Ève-Marie Dalcourt de intensiteit van het moment tot leven. Hun dans is speels, emotioneel en soms verrassend – een uitnodiging om stil te staan bij het nu.
De voorstelling sluit af met "Toekomst", waarin choreograaf D. Borodai de veerkracht van mensen en samenlevingen onderzoekt. Deze act kijkt vooruit: naar verandering, hoop en verbondenheid in een wereld in beweging.
VHT is meer dan een voorstelling – het is een ontmoeting tussen Oekraïense en Nederlandse kunst, een viering van culturele uitwisseling en een eerbetoon aan de kracht van dans om verhalen te vertellen die overal ter wereld raken.

Past | Present | Future (PPF) is a multidisciplinary ballet production that brings together choreography, visual art, and inclusivity in a vibrant three-act performance. Presented by the Ukrainian International Ballet in collaboration with the United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation, PPF celebrates creativity, resilience, and the transformative power of dance. It offers a profound exploration of time, culture, and human connection.
The first act, "Past", choreographically interprets the artistic philosophies of Piet Mondrian and Alexandra Exter. Through expressive movement, the dancers embody a dialogue between Ukrainian and Dutch artistic traditions, blending geometric rationalism with kinetic expressionism to reflect a shared cultural legacy.
In "Present", spontaneity and emotional depth take center stage. The choreography captures the fleeting beauty of the moment, inviting audiences to reflect on the immediacy of their own experiences and the power of being fully present.
The final act, "Future", explores the cyclical nature of human relationships and societal transformation. Through bold imagery and dynamic movement, this act emphasizes resilience, unity, and renewal in the face of adversity.
PPF weaves together Ukrainian and Dutch art, fosters cultural exchange, and preserves Ukrainian creativity, while inspiring audiences around the world through the universal language of dance.
